Under-Sheriff & the Hatch Act
Published February 29th, 2012
The Under-Sheriff in Marion County was told to quit job or quit his bid for Sheriff by the federal government. The Office of Special Council States Dan Kuhn is under violation of the Hatch Act because some workers under his authority administer federal funds. Kuhn told TV20 that he does not believe he is in violation. An attorney with the Sheriff's Association is representing Kuhn and is in negotiations right now that would remove those employees from Kuhn's authority as a precautionary move.
