While racers and fans enjoyed their time at Gator Nationals, one man was going from motorhome to motorhome.

Steven Sanders was arrested for stealing wallets in motorhomes parked at Auto Plus Raceway.

One citizen videotaped Sanders exiting a motorhome and wiping down the handle.

A group of citizens got into an altercation with the suspect where they then held him down until law enforcement arrived.

Sanders was sent to the emergency room due to the altercation.

Art Forgey, PIO of Alachua County Sheriff's Department, says the suspect refused to reveal his identity.

"It wasn't until he was fingerprinted and those fingerprints were submitted to the FBI, that we knew his true identity.

Sanders will rack up extra chargers for not providing personal information.
