An elderly Marion County woman arrived home to find an unwanted guest at her doorstep this morning--and paid dearly for helping him.
The 73 year old woman agreed to get the man a glass of water--but he forced his way into her home and hit her repeatedly. She had to be taken to the hospital.
Deputies have a description of the suspect: a clean shaven black male, thin build, about 5' 5"... and wearing dark pants and shirt. He is believed to be between the ages of 27 and 33.
The suspect was last seen running across the 17th Fairway towards a park at the "Yellow Condos" in the Silver Springs Shores community.
