Horses make a Landing

Twenty race horses made a landing at the Ocala International Airport Wednesday. They were flown in to participate in the largest horse sale of the year at Ocala Breeders' Sales. For the next month, the landing strip at OFC will be busy welcoming airplanes loading with horses. The price for an airplane ticket for a horse begins at around $1,100. The price goes up from there depending on the distance. Horses sold at OBS average around $100,000. Some have sold for two million.
