Weekend Planner
Happy Friday everyone! With spring fast approaching (or is it summer!)...there are more things to do...especially outdoors. This weekend we have a mix of things....whether you want to be indoors or out.
If you like aircraft, especially vintage planes from World War II, the Keystone Heights Airport is the place to be this weekend. The Wings of Dreams Airfest is underway now, running through Monday. You can get an up close view of the B-17 Flying Fortress, the P-51 Mustang and other aircraft. You'll also be able to take tours and rides, visit with the people who flew the planes, and enjoy military and aerobatic flyovers. Saturday and Sunday the event runs from 9 to 5. For directions and a full list of activities check the Weekend Planner story at wcjb.com. Website
Palatka will be busy this weekend as the Florida Azalea Festival will be underway. The festival is one of the oldest in the Sunshine State...now in its 66th year. Timed with the blooming of the azaleas, the festival features a ton of activities. There'll entertainment throughout the day, a kids area, a car show...and lots more. There's also a parade Saturday morning at 10. The Florida Azalea Festival runs from 9 to 5 Saturday and 10 to 5 Sunday in downtown Palatka. Website
CARD, UF's Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, is teaming up with students from Eastside High School for their annual S.T.A.R. 5K Walk/Run.
