It's a creepy case of invasion of privacy.  Gainesville Police arrested a man for trying to look under women's skirts while shopping.  Women say until his privacy is invaded, he'll never know what pain he caused the victims. 

 

 

 

"I think its disgraceful,"  Brenda Benjamin, Target shopper said. 

 

 

 

Disgraceful is how shopper Brenda Benjamin feels after learning a man looked under women's skirts with his cell phone at this Target along Archer Road. 

 

 

 

 

 

"I think who ever he was who did this that somebody needs to do something to do him, so that he see what it feels like," Benjamin said. 

 

 

 

 

 

Benjamin said what this man Miguel Annicaert did is unacceptable to women. 

 

 

 

"He will never know it feels when somebody does something this disgraceful to them,"  she said. 

 

 

 

Police say he went into Target to get some items, but while there, he would go around with a hand held shopping cart and take video underneath women's skirts. 

 

 

 

"His thing was it wasn't a fetish or anything he thought it would be fun to do," Detective David Fisher, Gainesville Police Department said. 

 

 

 

Detectives say he began doing this over a two month period hitting stores like Walgreens and Walmart along Archer Road. 

 

 

 

"His thing was he would take the photo and delete them afterward,"  Detective Fisher said. 

 

 

 

But it was in Target,  workers there called Police and took him into custody. 

 

 

 

"GPD is very concerned that innocent shoppers are out there taking advantage of in a matter like this,"  Fisher said. 

 

 

 

But in the end, Benjamin feels what Annicaert did is equivalent to rape. 

 

 

 

"He took away his privacy, he went down and looked at her private parts without her permission that's like rape,"  Benjamin said. 

 

 

 

Police have only identified one victim on the cell phone.   They couldn't arrest him because police say it is misdemeanor but have forwarded the charges to the state attorney.
