TV20 Exclusive: Seath Jackson Murder One Year Ago
It was a horrific murder.
April 17th marks exactly one year since 15-year-old Seath Jackson was killed inside a Summerfield home.
"I took my left, he took his right," Seath Jackson's best friend, William Samalot told TV20 as he walked down the same road he and Jackson did before he was killed. "I said, 'I'll see you tomorrow man, and he was like, alright.' Last I saw him."
Moments after they said goodbye, Jackson would head towards the very home where he was beaten, and shot. His body burned in a fire pit in the back of Charlie Ely's house.
"I come walking down the road, and I saw smoke, and thought somebody was burning garbage as normal," a neighbor told TV20 as he recalled the night of April 17th, 2011.
Ely's home is now occupied by new owners. They have painted the house and put up a fence.
"I miss him a lot," Samalot said. "Every time I look down this road, I think of Seath, you know, and all the good times we had."
The homes of the other teens accused in the murder are just blocks away from where Jackson was killed.
One year later, Charlie Ely is a convicted killer sentenced to live the rest of her life behind bars. Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez will now represent her during her appeal.
The trial for the rest of those involved will begin in the next couple of months.
But Samalot had a message for the alleged ring leader, Micheal Bargo, "I hope you spend you life in jail, or I hope you get the death penalty," Samalot said. "And hope you feel the same pain Seath did that night when you tortured and killed him."
Samulot said that the new owners of the home where Jackson was killed plan on building him a memorial at the site of the fire pit.
A vigil was also scheduled for the evening of April 17th in front of the home where Jackson was killed.
