Police are on high alert after three separate shooting incidents in Gainesville over the weekend.
Shots were fired in Tent City hitting two people who did not have life threatening injuries.
A shooter also fired in the air outside the Florida Theatre on University Avenue, but no one was hit.
And then a third incident happened on southeast 6th Avenue where shots were fired onto a car.
Police say the high volume of gun shots over the weekend is anything but typical.
"We don't find this typical or routine at all we are very concerned about this, very violent, the liklihood of someone being critically injured or more people being injured at any level is high, especially when there is no familiriarity of anyone involved."
The only link between the incidents is that the shooter in each case was unknown to the victim.
No arrests have been made because in each case the identity of the shooter is unknown.
