The 67th Newberry Watermelon Festival will be held at Oak View Middle School on May 19th 2012.

Admission is three dollars, and children two and under get in free.

There will be a Hog Calling Contest, a Seed Spitting Contest, a Watermelon Eating Contest, along with many other fun events.

There will be no charge for parking, and there will be free sliced watermelon all day.

The 2012 Watermelon Queen will be crowned at six o'clock.
