Published June 9th, 2012
Middle schoolers in Gainesville can now step into college and get a feel for the field.
Santa Fe College is hosting "College For Kids," a program where students can enroll in academic and art related classes for the summer.
Kids are able to pick and choose classes to their liking, very much like a college student.
The coordinator for the program says kids can experience college in a pressure-free environment.
Nike Akinyode: "and when they come here, they don't have to worry about testing, we just want them to develop that curiosity and the love for learning. so when they go from here they can build on that."
"College For kids" won't start until July 9th.
