Missing Girl Reunited
Published June 1st, 2012
The search for the missing girl we told you about is over. Sixteen year old Marissa Devito has reunited with her father. Gainesville High School Resource Officer Nate Ellis says he found the girl after receiving a tip from a Buchholz High School Officer. Ellis says he found Devito at an apartment in Southwest Gainesville.
Police say Devito was staying with her school mate Jordan Keeter along with two other males inside the apartment. Ellis says the girl was unharmed and she's been staying with Keeter since she first went missing. Police believe she ran away because she couldn't go to Fort Myers. They're happy Devito is safe.
"It's a great feeling we're happy to reunite her family unharmed," Officer Nate Ellis, Gainesville High School Resource officer said.
Detectives are questioning Devito to find out exactly why she ran away.
