Fanfares and Fireworks
WHEN: Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7 p.m.
WHERE: Flavet Field at the Univeristy of Florida, Gainesville
Gainesville's Fourth of July celebration starts at 7 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:40 p.m.
“Largest Small Town Fireworks Display in America”
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 3 to 10 p.m.
WHERE: Hal Brady Recreation Complex, 14300 NW 146th Terrace, Alachua County
Entertainment for the kids will begin at 3 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Micanopy 4th of July Celebration
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 11:00 a.m.
WHERE: Downtown Micanopy, Micanopy, FL
A Fourth of July Parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. Immediately after the parade, there will be a fish fry at the Micanopy Museum. It is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
“Our Country Day”
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 8 a.m. to dusk
WHERE: Keystone Beach Park, 565 S. Lawrence Blvd., Keystone Heights
The event will begin with a 5K marathon at 8 a.m. A parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and fireworks will be at Keystone Beach Park beginning at dusk. A $1 armband is required for the fireworks and is available at City Hall while supplies last.
Lake Butler Fourth of July Celebration
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4, 2012, from 3:30 a.m. to dusk.
WHERE: Lakeside Park, Lake Avenue at Northwest Third Street, Lake Butler
The celebration will begin with a Big Bass Fishing Tournament at 3:30 a.m. There will also be a Family Fun Run at 7 a.m. and a 5K at 8 a.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
Lake Santa Fe Pontoon Boat Parade
WHEN: Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 11 a.m.
WHERE: Santa Fe Lake Park, Northest State Road 26, Melrose, FL
The boat parade will begin at 11 a.m. near the Alachua County boat ramp and end at Melrose Bay.
Williston Independence Day Festival
WHEN: Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 5 p.m.
WHERE: Horseman's Park, 803 SW 19th Ave., Williston
The parade will start down Noble Avenue at 5 p.m. Festivities will pick up at Horseman's Park at 6 p.m., with free rides for children and food and craft vendors. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
