Smart kids are being geared to make smart moves...
High school seniors enrolled in advanced placement and other honors programs took advantage today, of presentations with experts on the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics also known as STEM.
The forum was sponsored by Mike Powell & Associates, an educational consulting company.
Powell says this event will give seniors an idea on how to pursue college admission and choose the right major.
"India, China all of these places are producing far more STEM majors than the United States is, so if we don't change and start increasing our numbers we may not remain at the top where we've been for a long time."
The students who attended the forum had the chance to win a brand new laptop and a $500 scholarship as well.
