Truck Fire Spreads to Home
OCALA - A truck in Ocala caught on fire and the flames spread to a nearby house.
The fire happened Tuesday morning at a home off of Northeast 12th street.
Officials believe the fire started in the truck, and the flames reached the garage.
No one was home when the fire started.
Fire rescue officials said the owners are out of town.
Meanwhile neighbors called 9-1-1.
"The door wide open, flames coming out," Joe Tucker told TV20.
"I called the fire department and they showed up right before the house caught on fire."
It took just three minutes for Ocala Fire Rescue to get to the home before the flames caused any more damage.
Tucker said he saw the door of the truck open while the fire was roaring.
Officials are investigating how the fire started, but are not classifying it as a suspicious fire yet.
