A quick note about social security checks that were recently mailed to some residents of Alachua and Levy counties.

The Social Security Administration said they received several calls that folks did not recieve their checks in the mail today. Social Security representatives said the checks should be there by Saturday and if that is not the case, please check with the post office.

If you don't get your check by Monday .contact the Social Security Office at 1-800-722 -1213.
