Some people like to get their weekend off to an early start. You can, too tonight in downtown Gainesville. The City of Gainesville's 2012 Free Fridays Concert Series continues this evening. Indoors, the Gainesville Community Playhouse is wrapping up it's production of the show Hairspray this weekend. The musical comedy revolves around the life of teenager Tracy Turnblad and her desire to not only dance on a Baltimore TV show, but deal with the social issues of 1960's America. If you like to laugh….and love the music of the 60's, you'll enjoy the show. You can catch it tonight and Saturday night at 8…with a matinee at 2 Sunday at the theatre in northwest Gainesville.
