GAINESVILLE - A drunk driver hit the door of a cop car barely missing the officers inside. Multiple officers were already investigating another crime on southeast 22nd ave when 28 year old David Williams dented the door. Sergeant Tscharna Senn with the Gainesville Police Department says he fled the scene but police caught up with him soon after. "But we were just very very fortunate that he struck the door in a place that did not injure the officers, that was standing inches away from him," she says. Williams was charged with multiple offenses including a DUI.
