Gainesville Store Smoke Evacuation

GAINESVILLE - Scary moments for the staff and customers of a Gainesville department store after fire crews weree called out Monday afternoon.
Firefighters confirmed smoke in the Kohls store off Archer Road and evacuated the building of about 30 people.
Most of the smoke was near the employee breakroom and in the customer service area.
Firefighters took a look at the roof and realized an air conditioning unit was the problem.
The AC units' power was turned off and the smoke cleared.
The store re-opened within the hour.
No injuries or other damage was reported.
