Gainesville Police Searching for Robber
GAINESVILLE - Police need your help to find a woman who robbed a store at gun point.
Investigators say the incident happened at the Waldo Walmart on Friday around 3 in the afternoon.
Detectives say a woman went inside with a semi automatic handgun in the garden center of the store to check out but instead demanded money from the cashier's register.
After getting the money she then fled the store, and police used K9 units to track her but her location is unknown.
"On a day you're going to have more people out there, you're gonna have more law enforcement it's very uncommon we don want to identify here and arrest her and charge her," Sergeant Tscharna Senn with the Gainesville Police Department said.
Police say the suspect is a white female about 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 7 with a slim build.
If you have any information you're asked to call crimestoppers.
