United Way of North Central Florida joins Giving Tuesday, a first of its kind as a national effort.

It hopes to inspire people to take action and improve their local communities by giving to the charities and causes they support.

United Way is hoping to create a national movement through social media around the holidays by using #GivingTuesday.
