Gainesville Fire Rescue Investigating Second Recent Fire in Apartment
GAINESVILLE--Some may call it suspicious.
Gainesville Fire Rescue is investigating a fire that happened in "The Pines" apartment complex.
It's the second fire in the same unit in a week.
Investigators went back to apartment 23 to try and figure out exactly what caused the fires.
They say the first one happened on the apartment's porch and only damaged the door.
One of the apartments is occupied by a man who's identity has not been released.
"I saw some flames coming out of the lower unit as i went around to inspect, the fire really started to take off." -Don Petralla, Apartment Manager

The Red Cross has put Williams in a hotel room.
Fire officials say it isn't clear how long the investigation will take.
They have taken samples from both fires and are waiting for the results.
