13 year old Tyler Cochrane's world changed on February 20th, 2012.

"We had taken him into to Belleview express care for a minor cold and i said well we are here. Can you check out his knee because he has been complaining about it kind of hurting when he touches it." said Darlene Cochrane.

An MRI showed he had a tumor in his right leg.

His mother Darlene says they spent 10 months living at Shands Hospital while Tyler had surgery and got chemotherapy.

"Everything was difficult because i was just so use to walking on my own and doing everything on my own," said Tyler.

Now that he is back at home, he has something new to look forward to.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Tyler's "wish".

Volunteers from a company in Orlando, ODC Builds, went to Tyler's house and help build this log cabin and ramp.

Soon they will put in walls and wood floor.

This new club house has windows, a front door as well as a wheelchair ramp for Tyler to drive right in.

"I knew that we were doing something for a good cause and for Tyler and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. We did what we know how to do." said Michael Yant project manager for framing operations for ODC.

Tyler's parents say it's great to see their son happy and excited about something he really wanted.

"I finally realized one of his wishes was coming true and he will be able to get out and do something of his own instead of being in the hospital."

There's a reason he chose this as his wish.

"If we go on a trip, once the trip is over it's over, but if i get a clubhouse it's forever. I have brothers coming over soon hopefully. We they get here it's a fun thing we could all do hanging out in there," said Tyler.

His step brothers may move in by the end of the month, so tyler plans on decorating his club house.

"Here we were thinking we can mount a flat screen tv," said Tyler.

Putting in old game systems and pretty much making it a man cave, and while he is thankful for his new clubhouse....

"I am very happy that I get to keep my leg and all this is over with," Tyler said.

Starting off a new year already better than the last.

Tyler has a 95 percent chance of making a full recovery.

His mother says with enough physical therapy Tyler will be able to walk in the near future.
