GAINESVILLE - Officials from Vetspace are doing their part to help homeless veterans right here in Alachua County.
Vetspace is a non profit organization that helps veterans transition back into society after fighting overseas.
Vietnam veteran Mike Juliano is proud that he and twenty other golfers are supporting veterans in the first Vetspace Golf Tournament.
"I think it's awesome, I think we should do this every year. This is my first golf tournament Chuck invited me, and its great we're having a ball,"
People who participated in the tournament raised over $2000.
There were perks as well, any golfer who scored a hole in one on the 13th hole won a new car.
Unfortunately no one won because of the strong winds.
