ruled Churchill Downs… I watched

with friends at a Derby party… We

had a POOL---“picking

horses out of a hat”…

WHO WON THAT?---

WELL...Paige Beck

is smiling...

It was also a weekend

of “sadness”---

having one of golf’s

most “flamboyant”---“creative”

“high-impact” players—

Seve Ballesteros—

die from a brain tumor at 54…

A weekend too that

reminded us of the

“Herculean popularity”

of Tim Tebow… He hosted

a round of “golf---for charity”…

Lots of celebrties,

including coaches named Meyer

and Muschamp… all cheered by

a huge Ponte Vedra crowd...

In the NBA Playoffs---

Dallas "swept" the "has-beens"

from Los Angeles... worse yet,

Laker "losers" behaved like thugs---

taking cheap shots at Mavs players...

a "double embarrassment"...

Are you proud of your team,

Jack Nicholson?...

In baseball,

Justin Verlander of Detroit

threw his SECOND

career no-hitter…

What a weekend...

especially for MOMS,

the biggest

winners of all...
