Wrong, BIG FELLA…

College athletes

“will NEVER”---“SHOULD never”

be “paid”… It would be INSANITY…

Lots of reasons---

Rich schools like Notre Dame

…Texas…and Florida

can afford to pay athletes…

But there’s NO WAY

it could happen at---

Carson-Newman

or Bethune-Cookman…

80 percent of "collegiate

athletics operations"

struggle to BREAK EVEN…

PAY athletes?---Not a chance…

It would NEVER be

“equitable”… never

be FAIR… Would a GYMNAST

get the same money as

a quarterback?...

Would a “point guard’s”

paycheck be the equal of

a “lacrosse goalie’s?”

Here is---“SURE trouble”…

IF college athletes were PAID---

the “cheating” in

“recruiting” would be “criminal”…

Look---appropriate “pay” for a

scholarship athlete is---“meals”…

“books” and “lodging”…

I wouldn’t object

if jocks received---say---$100

a month---for “pocket money”…

To go movies…or take a

friend out for a burger…

But “salaries?---NEVER!...

Not even the NCAA

would be SO

DELIRIOUS as to allow the

HIRING of “point guards”

or “linebackers”…
