Published April 19th, 2012
WASHINGTON (AP) - A U.S. defense official says an American military helicopter has crashed in southwestern Afghanistan with four U.S. troops aboard.
There was no immediate word on casualties.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the crash is under investigation, said it could not be ruled out that the Black Hawk helicopter was taken down by enemy fire, but early indications were that weather may have been a factor.
