Darius Rucker has been invited to join the Grand Ole Opry.
The 46-year-old singer is the third black performer to hold Opry membership.
After leaving the rock group Hootie & The Blowfish, Rucker began to pursue his lifelong passion for country music.
He's had a multiplatinum, award-winning run since and will release his third country album early next year.
He'll be inducted into the Opry on Oct. 16.
Be prepared to see a lot of Bond, James Bond that is, over the next few days.
The 007 franchise marks its 50th anniversary this week.
The first Bond movie "Dr. No" starring Sean Connery was released on October 5, 1962 marking the beginning of one of the most successful film series.
The 23rd Bond film, "Skyfall," will open next month with the sixth 007 in the series, Daniel Craig.
Richard Kiel, who played the infamous villain 'Jaws' in 1979's "Moonraker," says that was the most role important in his career.
"I loved the idea of doing Bond, because I love James Bond movies, so it was important for me to be in it, " Kiel said.
What's more Hollywood than the famous sign?
Work got underway to give Tinseltown's most iconic landmark, the Hollywood sign, a spruce up ahead of its 90th birthday next year.
The sign, which is located on the Hollywood hills in Los Angeles, California, is being given a new coat of paint for the first time in 35 years.
The facelift is expected to take eight to ten weeks to complete.
