DALLAS, Texas- A 17-year-old girl was brutally attacked on her way to school this morning.

The teen was walking towards a bus stop when a white male dragged her behind a dumpster.

Police said he then sexually assaulted and stabbed her multiple times.

The teen was found behind the dumpster after her cries for help alerted a passerby.

An ambulance transported her to a nearby hospital where she was listed in critcal, but stable condition.

Officers spotted a homeless man who matched the description of the attacker in a creek bed.

Officers located him and took him into custody for questioning.
