FORT WORTH, Texas- One person was hospitalized and another was killed after a shooting in Texas.

A father and his two children were staying at a hotel when their father left the room to confront a person outside.

Police arrived to find the armed man walking away and when they tried to talk to him, he fired shots.

Police returned fire, killing the suspect.

The father was sent to the hospital.
