"This is the end of our story, and we've been working on Batman for almost 10 years now...I'm sorry to see it go, but when the story's done, the story's done."
So says director Christopher Nolan, on the verge of the opening of this his third installment in the Batman "Dark Knight" series.
"The Dark Knight Rises" opens nationwide July 20th.
And Nolan says he won't be doing another Batman movie.
How does Batman feel about that: "I just can't imagine making Batman without Chris."
Michael Caine is also back for his third turn as Alfred, Batman's trusty butler.
"I really wouldn't want to try and make number four, and top this one....I honestly think this is one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life certainly the best "Batman".
One new cast member is Anne Hathaway, playing the villainous Catwoman.
Hathaway has a chance to be in two of the biggest movies of the year.
In December she headlines as Fantine in the new screen version of "Les Miserables".
And on the sidewalks of Hollywood.
A floral tribute to Ernest Borgnine who died over the weekend, the bouquet marks his star along Hollywood Boulevard.
