Victim of Aurora Theater Shooting Has Ties to Sandy Hook Elementary

Published December 17th, 2012

Stephen Barton, a victim of the Aurora movie theater massacre, lives about ten minutes from Newtown, CT, and has ties to the victims of the shooting.

Barton stopped in Aurora, CO this past July while on a cross country bicycling tour.

While attending a midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises," he was shot in the face and neck.

12 people were killed in the Aurora shooting.

Barton is now part of a campaign that urges lawmakers to stop gun violence.
