President Obama is heading to Israel this spring.

The trip will mark his first visit there as president.

The White House says he will visit the West Bank and Jordan.

Obama discussed the trip with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last month.

White House spokesperson Jay Carney says the two leaders will discuss issues of mutual concern including Iran and Syria.
