The message is a stong one and members of the Dove Outreach Center say they wouldn't have it any other way. "The message is very to the point, they don't cut any corners...and that's what I like about it." The youth pastor of the church says the point of the sign is not to hurt feelings, but he belives there is only one way. "I get this feeling from Christians and from protesters that Jesus was a hippie and just wanted to spread love...thats it...but that's not the bible."
According to the church support for the sign is at 60% according to a poll in the Alligator. But the protestor's say support is still strong for them as well. "We are getting a lot of support from drivers and passer's by." The current sign will soon be smaller, but other controversial signs will soon go up according to church officials. "If we stick out some more signs there that cause some controversy and people hate us for it, it doesn't matter. One thing is certain, both sides are standing strong for or against those powerful words on the lawn.
