It's the play that still leaves most Gator football fans cringing each time it's replayed...the hit that sidelined Tim Tebow for the rest of Saturday's game against Kentucky and sent him to the hospital with a concussion.

"Football gets the most publicity," said Dr. Bayard Miller of the University of Florida College of Medicine. "Probably soccer players are even more prone to head injuries, but it can happen in almost any kind of sport."

Dr. Miller said concussions result in impaired memory and motor skills following a blow to the head. The severity can vary across three different levels or "grades" based on factors like loss of consciousness. Recovery time also varies by case.

"If it's very mild it might just take a few minutes," said Miller. "If it's more severe it might take a week or two weeks."
