ARK Remodeling and Construction is a local construction firm that has a very 'extreme' project on its hands...

The company has been chosen by ABC producers to be the official construction firm for the local house being rebuilt as part of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." Ricky and April Strickland of ARK stopped by the TV 20 studios this morning to discuss how they were chosen for this big task and how members of the community can get involved.

Although the volunteer list is already closed (didn't hear about this til Friday morning), I plan to be ready to pitch in if they need more help. I'm trying to renovate my own home to make it safe for my frail elderly mother with dementia; maybe we'll learn something. Would love to be involved in my fave TV show. Volunteerism is so essential! I also heard about this project to late. I honestly don't think I have missed one Extreme Makeover Home Edition show. I have a smile on my face or tears running down my cheeks the entire hour. I'm so disapointed I won't be able to voluteer, but you can count on me being there cheering everyone on. Thanks Kay from Melrose

I was glad to be apart of the build as I worked on TY's special room and Pauie's room as well, I still cant believe that we got all this done in 7 day's.. Thank you
