Animal Services found a dog chained outside of a residence in North East Alachua County Thursday. Investigators brought her to the shelter to be examined. Determined to save her life, they sent her over to UF Veternarian Medical facility, where she received a blood transfusion. A few days later, doctors saw improvement. Numerous animal organizations pull as many resources they have together to try to prevent more cases like these from happening.
