Corruption, unfairness, brutality.
They're all topics that were discussed at Thursday night's NAACP meeting in levy county, and they're all allegations made against the Levy County Sheriff.
This week, TV20 has been telling you about Deputy Chuck Johnson, who many in Levy County say was only lightly punished after a series of indiscretions, such as using a racial insult and tasering his own dog. Johnson's father is the second in command at the Levy County Sheriff's Office.
Most of the discussion at the meeting was what the area NAACP should do in response to allegations of preferential treatment made against Sheriff Johnny Smith.
TV20's Josh Rosenthal broke this story early this week, and he went live from the church in Bronson where the NAACP meeting was held.
To find out what the NAACP has decided to do, you can watch the video on the right.

the bad man is the one that got spit on?
the bad man is the one who got cursed at and made the poor man that sells poison to MY kids lose some of his product and money?
Perhaps your reporter should walk down Pine Street some night and ask the residents what they think. hint, dont go alone!
The honest ones wont open their doors, not due to the likes of "the bad man" but due to the likes of "the good man".
Frankly I dont like Chuck, I dont dislike him either, the only times I have had contact with him is when he is putting my crackhead son in the back of his car for a ride to the station.
But I do respect him for doing his job. Did he lose his temper when he arrested your "good man" perhaps..was there reason for
him to be disrespected? perhaps..Was he being respectful when this started?
Does he deserve to be spit on?...
how would a reasonable person react? how would YOU react if it was you?
your reporting the effect not the cause...was there another side to this story that wasnt covered in your report? ie.
previous history on either side? prior arrests? prior complaints of racial epathets?
As for the dog...where are the facts? prior history of abuse? did the dog turn on him or his wife/kids (if any)
how long has he had this dog? Is this a he said she said thing or do these people have names? seems kinda strange for this guy to just decide to taze his dog for jollies. perhaps the word of the day should not be "allegations" but "facts".
