A wicked single car crash in Dixie County threatens the lives of two men and police still aren't sure what happened.
Twenty-six-year-old Abbas Khan and and 20-year-old Nafees Khan, both of Perry were airlifted to the hospital and traffic was backed up for over an hour.
Abbas Khan was driving. Nafees khan was the passenger.
Officials say they don't see many accidents on this straight stretch of State Road 55, and this accident was serious.
They may not know yet why the driver fish-tailed off the highway, but one thing is certain: the car ended up partially wrapped around a tree.
State troopers say both men were wearing their seatbelts.
They were airlifted to Shands UF in serious condition.
