If you search for the meaning of "faith healing" on the Internet, you will find a number of definitions. Most surround the Christian belief that a person who is sick can be healed with the help of God's intervention through a healer using prayer and touch. It is important to remember that many in the scientific community do not believe that faith healing is possible.
But for those who do believe, their definition of faith can be found in the New Testament in Hebrews Chapter 11, verse one: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
