It is hot so hot the National Weather Service has issued heat advisories for several counties in North Central Florida until Friday. The past two days we have broken or tied the record highs and it looks like things will continue to stay very hot and humid. For the workers stuck in the heat there are special things they do to keep cool such as drink a lot of fluids before out in the heat and taking many breaks. When heat indices reach into the triple digits it is also very important to check up on people who are more susceptible to heat related illnesses.
