A Gator girl from birth, I graduated from the University of Florida and I am excited to join the TV20 news team reporting in my college town. In school I majored in both broadcast journalism and English, balancing out my love of video and journalism with my love of reading and all things literature. I started working in the newsroom at UF as a freshman and through the years I worked behind the scenes and in front of the camera, which gave me a well-rounded look at how a newsroom works. I did everything from producing to operating the cameras to reporting and anchoring. I interned at WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville and also for The Florida Times Union and Jacksonville.com. While at the newspaper, I created video stories for the web and also did radio updates on RadioJax. In our digital era, I am a social media aficionado and would love for you to like my Facebook page and follow me on Twitter @kylaryann. While you're there, feel free to send me story ideas because I want the community to hear what you have to say. That's why I love what I'm doing - it gives me a chance to connect with the community to report the news that everyone's talking about and to give a voice to those who need to be heard. I look forward to meeting all of you out in the field and putting your stories on air!
