Williston's Max White always wanted to play for the Florida Gators. Since he could pick up a baseball, the Red Devils' dreams were to suit up for the Orange and Blue on the baseball diamond. But an unexpected surgery his junior year nearly turned the dream into a nightmare. White had bone spurs removed from his labrum, and feverishly began working to come back better than ever. After seven months of grueling physical therapy three to four times a week, White still had the "IT" factor the Gators fell in love with, and will play for the University of Florida in the coming fall. The Red Devil senior also takes tremendous pride in his grades, determined to achieve nothing less than a 3.8 unweighted GPA before he graduates in June.
