GAINESVILLE, Fla. - When a St. John Lutheran Saint couldn't compete due to injury, Grant Wiles was there to fill in the void.

The do-it-all player for the Saints played nearly every position on the football field in his senior year, including his natural outside linebacking spot.

But in the final game of the regular season, Grant had joined one of the many fallen Saints and was ruled out due to a pulled neck muscle.

Grant did the next best thing and cheered on his teammates from the sidelines, keeping his guys pumped up and motivated.

The St. John Lutheran standout has a 3.79 GPA and earned an athletic scholarship to Mercer University.
