GAINESVILLE- Our Jeffrey Meldon TV20 Scholar Athlete of the Week has led the Vanguard volleyball team to a 24-1 record and a spot in the Class 6A Regional Semifinal Tuesday night against Gainesville High, but that's just the beginning for outside hitter McKenna Foster. 

She also maintains a 4.3 grade average in Vanguard's IB program and was named Homecoming Queen earlier this year. 

Knights head coach Jason Morris says Foster is an outstanding example for the younger players on the team, both as a vocal leader on the court, and an encourager off the court. 

Foster will attend Stetson University on a volleyball scholarship next year.
