GATORS FALL TO GAMECOCKS IN 11 INNINGS

In the top of the 11th inning, Trent Kline hit a two-run home run to break a 6-6 tie. Florida had runners on base in the bottom of the inning, but could not score.
The Gators drop their first SEC series of the year as the fourth-ranked Gamecocks came from behind to get the win. Travis Jones, who went four for five on the afternoon, hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth to extend the game.
Senior Matt Laporta extended his hitting streak to 11 games. The Gators host the University of Central Florida on Tuesday.
