Gator senior outfielder Brian Leclerc is this week's SEC baseball player of the week after batting .600 (9-for-15) for the week as Florida went 3-1 last week. He was 5-for-11 (.455) with four runs and three doubles as the Gators captured their weekend series against Kentucky and went 3-for-4 poking two doubles in Sunday's 5-4 series finale.
He also helped Florida topple #1 Florida State last Wednesday with a career best 4-for-4 outing belting a two-run homer in the first inning and an RBI single in the third to help the Orange and Blue take the season series with a 5-4 triumph in the rubber game. He is second on the squad with a .342 overall average and is hitting .422 with a team-leading 18 RBI in SEC play.
