NINE GATORS SELECTED IN NFL DRAFT
Published April 30th, 2007
The "character issues" hurt Marcus Thomas's wallet-as he tumbled down the draft board-but he was ultimately taken with the 121st pick (4th Round) by the Denver Broncos. Thomas will join former Gator defensive end Jarvis Moss.
Joe Cohen was also selected in the fourth round. He is taken by the San Francisco 49ers, where he'll be joined by Gator teammate Ray McDonald (3rd Round). Brandon Siler was picked by San Diego in the 7th round (#240).
Ryan Smith (Tennessee, 6th Round), Dallas Baker (Pittsburgh, 7th Round), and DeShawn Wynn (Green Bay, 7th Round) also went on the second day of the draft.
BCS Championship Game MVP Chris Leak was not drafted.
