Published May 7th, 2007
The Gator baseball team rallied from two runs down in the bottom of the ninth inning, but fell short in extra innings as Alabama gets its first win of the weekend. Avery Barnes hit his first home run of the season to cut the lead to 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth. John Townsend then tied the game as Austin Pride hit a double to deep right centerfield.
The Gators record is now 25-24 and are 12-12 in the SEC. Florida faces North Florida in the final mid-week game for the Gators on Tuesday night.
