Freshman pitcher Kyle Mullaney gave the Gators five innings of shutout baseball before leaving the game in the 7th with three runs, all unearned.

Newly crowned SEC Player of the Year Matt LaPorta went 0-4 at the plate with two walks.

Florida now faces Alabama Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
