GATOR BASEBALL FALLS IN SERIES FINALE
Published May 14th, 2007
Austin Pride hit his 11th home run of the season, but two big innings were all the LSU Tigers needed to salvage a win at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge. The Tigers scored three runs in the first inning and three more in the fourth to secure victory.
The Gators did tie the score at three in bottom of the second, as Pride's home run was followed by a Jonathan Pigott triple which scored Cody Neer. A throwing error on the same play allowed Pigott to come all the way around to tie the game.
Billy Bullock takes the loss for the Gators and falls to 2-6 on the season.
